Brief Officer/Chairperson Descriptions

President: (Two Year Term-through June 30, Even Year) The President shall preside at all meetings of the PTA and of the executive committee/board; and shall coordinate the work of the officers and committees.
Vice President: (Two Year Term-through June 30, Even Year) Assists President with duties listed above, except for signing checks. This VP shall preside over PTA meetings when President is unavailable and will act as PTA President in case of the President’s absence or inability to serve.
Recording Secretary: (Two Year Term-through June 30, Even Year) Responsible for recording minutes of the meetings, creating agendas. Keep file of motions passed at all meetings.
Corresponding Secretary: (Term ending June 30, Odd Year) - This position has been eliminated, however a Corresponding Assistant with email knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
Membership Chairperson: (Term ending June 30, Odd Year) - Plan and conduct membership enrollment efforts with clear, numerical goals. Be responsible for the distribution of, and accounting for, membership cards; Maintain accurate membership records.
Treasurer: (Two Year Term-through June 30, Odd Year) - Maintain all financial records, maintains a permanent File Binder, prepares a Treasurer’s Report for each meeting and works closely with the Membership Chairperson for membership remittances.
7th Grade Chairperson: (One Year Term-through June 30) Act as liaison between the Middle School Parents, teachers, students and the PTA President. Will announce any fundraising ideas and events at the meetings concerning the Middle School.
